LineageOS 15: List of Devices getting the LineageOS 15 (Android Oreo)

Google, the Search giant announced the Android Oreo recently. After the announcement people have started looking if their android device would get an update. While some of the users are promised an official update from the manufacturers, some of the devices aren’t. We recently covered an article where we mentioned the list of devices which will be getting the Android Oreo update officially.

Some of the devices which deserve an update also have been left out. It’s because most of the companies support the device for 15 months, any update given after 15 months of launch is a bonus. But the beauty of Android OS is, you don’t have to depend on the manufacturers for using the latest Android version. You can build one for you own.

However, not all of us are experts, that’s where the ROM developers come into the picture. One of the popular names when it comes to ROM development is CyanogenMod. However, The name CyanogenMod came to an end because of the bad business decisions made by the owner of Cyanogen Inc. The developers of CyanogenMod didn’t quit, they’ve started LineageOS.

LineageOS 15.0 is in works for the following Android devices

LineageOS 15.0 is Lineage’s version of Android Oreo. One thing we’ve noticed about the LineageOS 15.0 is, it is in works only for the devices which deserve an update but for sure aren’t getting an Android Oreo update from their manufacturer. The work began after the announcement of the Android Oreo operating system.

Members from Droidmen posted about LineageOS 15.0 under works for the OnePlus Two and OnePlus One. However, the OnePlus Two and the OnePlus One aren’t just the only devices where the LineageOS 15.0 is under works. We personally tracked a lot the LineageOS Gerrit with the Droidmen Team and discovered a lot of other devices. Without wasting a minute more, here’s a list of devices which will be among the first ones to get the LineageOS 15.0.

Sony Devices

• Xperia SP
• Xperia T
• Xperia TX

OnePlus Devices

• OnePlus Two
• OnePlus One

Huawei Devices

• Huawei Nexus 6P (Interestingly, the Huawei Nexus 6P would be the first device to get the Android Oreo update and LineageOS at the same time.)

HTC Devices

• HTC One M8

Asus Devices

• ASUS Zenfone 2

LG Devices

• LG G5 (T-Mobile)
