ADB or Android Debug Bridge acts like a communication tool between your Huawei device and PC. Fastboot is used to modify the Android File system from a PC when your phone is in a bootloader mode. Thanks to Snoop5 who is an XDA member, you can get both ADB & Fastboot at one place.

  1. I’m trying to do it on Huawei tablet cpn-w09, but I can’t find a twrp that works for it, at least not listed. How does a recovery get generated?

  2. twrp installed seamingly without error, but my Huawei Mate 8 gets stuck at “your device can’t be trusted bla bla bla your device will boot now” and I don’t know what to do

  3. TWRP is not required nor is it a prerequisite to rooting Huawei devices. Once the bootloader is unlocked, Magisk Manager may be used to patch your stock boot image for systemless root. Once patched, fastboot mode can then be used to flash the patched image to the boot partition. Upon reboot, Magisk Manager will indicate that root is properly installed, preferably with full basicIntegrity and ctsProfile Safety Net Pass.
All this can be done without TWRP and with stock recovery fully intact.
